Ji Xiaodong is Vice President of China Chamber of Tourism, Senior Researcher of China Tour and Culture Development Research Institute, and the General Manager of Yunnan Dali Yangbi Cangshan Shimenguan Tourism Development Co., Ltd. He has started his career in tourism at Yunnan since 1996, which has witnessed the growth and development of the province’s tourism industry. He has held various senior management positions in a number of tourism enterprises and possesses extensive experience in scenery development, management and marketing. Mr.Ji has been widely recognized for his achievements in tourism. Among all, he was awarded by the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) as “Ambassador of Civilized Tourism” in 2015, “Ten Major Propelling Figures of the National Toilet Revolution” in 2016, and “Pioneer of China Tourism Volunteers” in 2017. He was also accredited as “Tourism Industry People of The Year” in Sanya Forum 2016, and “Top 10 Figures in Dali Investment” by The People’s Government of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in 2017.

In collaboration with the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, this session will highlight Chinese private enterprise’s contribution to the Greater Bay Area and how the development of diverse tourism experiences converges with President Xi Jinping’s beautiful life concept. In this session, leaders from Chinese private enterprises will explore the development of “new” tourism types in China through sharing best practices from various approaches such as product design, marketing, and implementation. What are the latest developments in building a diversified tourism sector? How can companies adapt solutions to the ever-changing consumer market? How can a diversified tourism sector support and contribute to well-being and the realization of a beautiful and sustainable life?
