Luo Shugang

Minister of Culture and Tourism, People’s Republic of China
Mr. Luo Shugang was born in May, 1955. He is a member of the 18th and 19th CPC Central Committee.

He was a student of Scientific Socialism in Renmin University of China in 1978 – 1982, then he got his Master’s Degree from the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 1986. Since then, he successively served as Director of the Department of Political Theories, Qiushi Magazine; Director for Policy and Legislation Research, Vice Secretary-General and concurrently Director-General of the Bureau for Political Theories, Publicity Department, CPC Central Committee of China. He served as the Vice Minister of Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee of China since 2000 and became the Executive Deputy Minister of the department in 2008. In 2014, he was appointed the Minister of Culture of China. He has been appointed Minister of Culture and Tourism of China in March 2018.
